Luonnon havainnointi, luonnontuntemus ja luonnonprosessien ymmärtäminen ovat keskeisiä opetussuunnitelman sisältöjä aina esiopetuksesta lukioon saakka. Nopeasti muuttuvassa maailmassa tarvitaan nopeaa tiedon kulkua, paitsi tutkijoilta päättäjille, myös tutkijoilta lapsille ja nuorille sekä heidän opettajilleen. ”
