The Nature Conservation Decree can regulate a wild species whose natural survival in Finland has been endangered as an endangered species.
Species under strict protection (NCD 2023/1066, Appendix 6)
An endangered species referred to in Section 75 of the Nature Conservation Act whose risk of disappearing from nature is at least very high can be designated as a specially protected species by a decree of the Government. An endangered species that has very few places of occurrence and whose survival is threatened can also be designated as a specially protected species.
